What is Nokia BB5?
The essence of BB5 is the main procssor - "RAP3G". This name is product code used by Nokia to
describe a texas Instrument integrated processor developed for mobile devices. It's new technolgy -
OMAP 1710(up to 220 MhZ). These new processors are heavily secured against modifications such as sim
lock removal with various checksums and public/private key encryption (certificates)
Up until very recently Nokia BB5 handset's could not be unlocked by any 3rd party company.

How do i have my Nokia BB5 phone unlocked/Sim-free?
Option 1 - Bring your phone into our shop:
We can usually unlock it while-u-wait, however depending on our workload on that particular day it
may take up to 24 hours. Our full contact details including a map of our location and our shop
opening hours can be viewed Here. We have adequate customer parking available.
Option 2 - Send your phone to us:
If you wish to have your Nokia BB5 handset unlocked unlocked but can't come to our office in person
simply print and fill in THIS FORM and send it along with your phone/s to Gsm Solutions Ltd, 28
North Lotts, Dublin 1, Ireland. If you can't print this form simply include a cover letter with your
contact details. You can include payment with the phone or we can contact you for payment when the
handset is ready to be shipped back to you. When received to our office one of our team will contact
you and confirm we have recieved your handset. Your handset will then be unlocked and shipped back
to you by registered/signed for post. You can be provided with a tracking number if required. Phones are shipped back generally the same day we recieve them, or the following day at the latest. Phones recieved on Saturday will be shipped back on Monday.
How to send my phone?
When sending your phone to us please insure it is securely packaged to avoid any damage in transit, we also highly recommend when sending your phone to us that you use a registered shipping service such as AnPost, DHL, FEDEX or a regular courier. We cannot be held responsible for items sent to us via normal post.
How long does it take to unlock my Nokia BB5 phone?
That really depends on our workload on any particular day, however, we can normally unlock it within
30 minutes while you wait in our reception. We have adequate customer parking available. If you send
the phone to us we generally unlock it the same day we recieve it and ship it back the very same
day. However, if you want to make payment with a cheque/bank draft etc these must clear in our
account we can take on average 1 week. Phones will only be shipped back once funds have cleared in
our account.
How do i make payment?
We have a range of different payment methods available, if you bring the phone to us in person we
can accept cash, credit/debit card. If you send the handset to us we can accept cash, credit/debit
card, Paypal, Bank draft, Money order, Postal order, Bank transfer, Western union or Direct bank
deposit. Please make payments payable to GSM Solutions. Full payment details available on
request.
What if i have blocked the phone because i have entered too many wrong unlock codes?
Dont worry, We can reset the unlock code counter for you, however, there will be a extra charge for this service - the price to reset your unlock code counter will be an extra 35.00 euro per handset. Discounts will be given on bulk

permission of the legal owner to send the phone to us for unlocking.
